Janet first found out about Helping Hands in the Garden during one of her treatments at the James. After her initial call with Elaine, she walked around the house for days saying “I feel like I have won the lottery!’ She told everyone she knew about HHG and what wonderful work they were doing. She would be thrilled that her name is associated with an event to make people more aware of such a great organization, by the co-workers she loved.
Janet loved the beach, whether it was walking, reading or just relaxing. After moving to Ohio in 95’ she made her annual summer pilgrimages out to Cape Cod to see her family. There were years we were concerned if she would ever return home but shealways did with a big smile on her face!
